HFN has a reputation
for successfully addressing the complex issues facing healthcare. One
of the greatest problems in healthcare today is the shortage
of nurses in the United States. There are currently
almost 500,000 vacant nursing positions and the shortage
is projected to grow dramatically.
Recognizing the opportunity to
aid HFN’s providers, we have entered in to an exclusive
agreement with Nursing Resources International, Inc. (“NRI”)
in University Heights, Ohio to recruit foreign nurses for
facilities in the Midwest.
Dan Splain and Beth Stolkowski,
RN, JD are managed care pioneers who set up NRI to
specifically address the shortage of nurses. Earl Fischl,
Executive Vice-President of NRI’s Midwest operation is based
in HFN’s offices to facilitate the recruitment effort.
The principals of NRI own a nurse
recruitment firm in the Philippines, Medical Staffing Resources,
Inc., which ensures access to an adequate supply of nurses
who speak fluent English and have Bachelor of Science Degrees
in Nursing.
The arrangement with NRI
adds a new dimension to HFN’s endeavor to bring value to
providers.
